no dashboards you'll stare at. no streak-only theater. only mechanics that get you off your phone and into a conversation.
start a lock in session and the apps you selected go dark. apple's default shield appears. you can open instagram all you want, it won't open. tiktok all you want, it won't open.
most screen-time apps fail because they run on willpower, they ask you to set a timer and trust yourself not to override it. iNTRPT works differently: you set your block, and proof of a real interaction is what earns your access back.
we use apple's native FamilyControls framework, granted by apple's distribution entitlement team. blocked apps actually block. no workarounds, no opening from notifications, no opening from siri.
open iNTRPT each morning and you get a challenge calibrated to where you actually are. terrified to make eye contact? you start there. been at it two weeks? you get something harder.
the four tiers: make eye contact and smile. say a word. have a real conversation. exchange contact, but only if there's actually something there.
challenges rotate based on what you've already done. you won't get the same one twice in a week. you build a body of work, not a checklist.

tell gio the situation, 'coffee shop, someone reading at the next table', and he gives you five openers in 30 seconds. not pickup lines. situation-specific openers that sound like a normal human, each with why it works and what to say next.
you can practice delivery too. record yourself saying the opener and gio gives you 60-second feedback on tone and pace, before you've talked to anyone real.
the voice is grounded. no 'you got this.' a friend who's done a thousand approaches and notices real effort. three audio practices a day, the cap is intentional. iNTRPT is about doing it, not rehearsing it.

a streak is the number of days in a row you took action. one wave. one conversation. anything toward your daily challenge. miss a day and it resets to zero, that's the part that makes it work.
streaks are personal. no leaderboard. no sharing required. it's between you and the proof you put in.
for most men, day 30 is when it clicks. not because 30 is magic, but because you can no longer tell yourself you're not the kind of person who talks to strangers. you've proved it 30 times.

photo proof is the highest unlock tier: a selfie at the place you talked to someone. front camera only. on-device. EXIF stripped. it never leaves your phone.
we're obsessive about this for two reasons, privacy and law. capturing other people's faces would break laws across several states, so we don't. the photo is of you, at the place, as proof you were there.
the tiers by unlock time: wave buys 30 minutes, rejection an hour, audio reflection three hours, photo proof unlocks everything. rejection counts, you showed up. that's proof of attempt, not failure.

at 6pm a card appears: a five-mood selector and one prompt. about two minutes.
the prompt rotates by day. monday asks what you set out to do. friday asks who you actually saw this week. sunday asks what you'd change.
no notification nagging you, no streak punishment for missing it. over a few weeks, patterns surface, the days you went early went better, the conversations you weren't trying to force felt best. it's yours. it doesn't sync. it doesn't share.

your block list isn't fixed. add or remove apps anytime from your profile. start with what hurts most, instagram, tiktok, three apps, twelve, whatever takes you out of your life and into someone else's feed.
changing it is intentionally easy. you might realize after a week that you need to add more, or that one app you blocked doesn't actually matter.
what doesn't change: during an active session you can't unlock by editing the list. once it starts, only proof unlocks it. that's the discipline of the system.
