This Privacy Policy describes how Bello Eze, a sole proprietor doing business as iNTRPT ("iNTRPT," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the iNTRPT mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using iNTRPT, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

With your permission, iNTRPT uses Apple's FamilyControls framework to restrict access to apps you select. This data is processed entirely on your device. We do not see which specific apps you select, which apps you use, how long you use them, or what you do inside them. Apple's framework returns only opaque tokens to iNTRPT, not app names or usage data.
iNTRPT does not collect location data in this version of the Service.
We use your information for the following purposes:
We do not use your information for advertising or to build advertising profiles. We do not sell your personal information.
We process your data based on (a) the contract between you and us when you use the Service, (b) your consent where required, (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and (d) legal obligations.
iNTRPT lets you capture a selfie photo to mark the completion of a Lock In session. We have designed this feature to minimize the data we collect and the risks to your privacy.
A selfie photo taken in the moment using your device's camera. iNTRPT does not allow uploading photos from your camera roll for proof-of-completion.
Photos are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers, not stored in our database, and not transmitted to any third party.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled in your iOS settings, your iNTRPT photos may be backed up to iCloud as part of standard iOS app data backup. This is controlled entirely by you in your iCloud settings, and is between you and Apple. We do not access these backups.
We use Apple's on-device Vision framework to confirm that a face appears in the photo (a basic check that you took a real selfie, not a blank or random image).
This face-detection check happens entirely on your device. We do not extract, store, or transmit face data, biometric identifiers, face embeddings, or any other biometric information. We do not use facial recognition. We do not identify who you are from the photo.
Before saving any photo, we remove location metadata (GPS coordinates, EXIF data) from the file. We do not collect, store, or transmit your location at any point in this version of the Service.
All locally stored photos and challenge data associated with the app are removed by iOS as part of standard app deletion.
It is removed from device storage. We have no copy on our servers because we never had one.
iNTRPT is designed for selfie-only proof of completion. We do not require, request, or store photos of other people. If you choose to include other people in a photo, you are responsible for obtaining their consent. We strongly recommend taking selfies that do not include identifiable images of other people.
iNTRPT includes "Gio," an AI-powered coach that responds to your questions and provides guidance on social confidence and challenge completion.
Gio's responses are generated by an artificial intelligence model (Claude, developed by Anthropic). Responses are not reviewed by a human before you receive them. Gio is clearly identified as an AI throughout the Service.
When you message Gio, the following is transmitted through our secure proxy infrastructure (hosted on Cloudflare) to Anthropic's API:
We do not transmit your real name, email address, payment information, photos, or other personal identifiers as part of Gio interactions.
Per Anthropic's API terms, Anthropic does not use API conversation data to train its AI models. Conversation data may be retained briefly by Anthropic for abuse monitoring and is then deleted per Anthropic's published retention policy.
If Gio produces a response that is harmful, inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise problematic, please report it by emailing hello@intrptapp.com with a description of what happened. We review reports and adjust Gio's system prompt as needed to prevent similar issues.
AI models can generate inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate responses. We make no guarantee that Gio's outputs are correct, helpful, or suitable for your situation. Use your own judgment when acting on Gio's suggestions.
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
Retained for as long as your iNTRPT account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your account data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., financial records for tax purposes).
Retained per applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years in the United States). These records are held by Apple and RevenueCat; we hold only the minimum necessary to verify your subscription status.
Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted with your account.
Stored locally on your device. We do not retain copies. Deleted when you delete the photo, delete the app, or delete the device.
We do not store your full Gio conversation history on our servers. Recent conversation context may be temporarily cached on your device to maintain conversation continuity. Anthropic retains conversation data per its API terms (see Section 5.3).
Retained for up to 90 days, after which it is aggregated or deleted.
If you joined the iNTRPT waitlist before launch, your email address is stored in MailerLite. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you, which removes your email from our list within 7 days.
Encrypted backups of our systems may exist for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes. Data in backups is overwritten on a rolling basis.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:
No system is 100% secure. Despite our efforts, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.

You can also delete your account directly from within the iNTRPT app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This is the fastest way to delete your data.
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We will only ask for information necessary to confirm you are the account holder.
California residents may designate an authorized agent to make rights requests on their behalf. The agent must provide written proof of authorization, and we may verify the request directly with you.
If we decline a rights request, you may appeal by replying to our response email. We will reconsider the request and respond within 60 days.
If you believe we have violated your privacy rights, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority. EU/UK users may contact the data protection authority in their country. California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency at cppa.ca.gov.
